CashCatch ("CashCatch," "we," "us") helps you find the best card and cashback for your purchases. We built CashCatch to be privacy-first: the core of the product runs on your own device.
1. Information we collect
- Your wallet & preferences. The cards you select and your settings are stored locally on your device (browser or app storage). We do not require an account, and this information is not sent to our servers.
- Reward data you receive. The app downloads a public dataset of card and cashback rates from us. This is one-way — you download it — and it contains no information about you.
- Basic technical & usage data. Like most online services, our hosting and any analytics may process limited technical data (such as IP address, device or browser type, and pages viewed) to operate, secure, and improve the service.
- Affiliate click & transaction data. When you choose to shop or apply through a link we provide, our affiliate partners and the merchant may record that click and the resulting transaction to attribute a commission (see "Affiliate links" below).
2. How we use information
- To provide and improve the recommendations and the service.
- To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
- To measure performance, including affiliate referrals.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Affiliate links & third-party tracking
CashCatch participates in affiliate programs and may earn a commission when you shop or apply for a product through our links, at no additional cost to you. When you click such a link, the affiliate network and/or merchant may set cookies or use similar technologies to attribute the referral. Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, not ours.
4. Cookies & similar technologies
We and our partners may use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, analytics, and affiliate attribution. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect attribution and some features.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with service providers (such as hosting and analytics) and affiliate partners as described above, and where required by law.
6. Your choices & rights
Because your wallet and preferences live on your device, you can view, change, or delete them at any time within the app, or by clearing the app's or browser's storage. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA). To make a request, contact us at the address below.
7. Data security
We take reasonable measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
CashCatch is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
